Britpop legend Skin celebrates 25 years of success on the cover of the July 2022 edition of Retro Pop!

Having found fame as the pioneering vocalist of Skunk Anansie and soundtracking a generation with her unique brand of hard-hitting, politically charged rock and roll, the star - real name Deborah Anne Dyer - remains a figurehead of the UK music scene.

She leads an issue packed with brilliant music and, coinciding with Pride Month, we're celebrating queer pop excellence from LGBTQ+ artists and allies from across the decades.

Ahead of the release of 'George Michael: Freedom Uncut', we delve into the late superstar's solo legacy with the help of biographer James Gavin; in a previously-unpublished archive interview from 2017, Samantha Fox looks back on her pop career; and '80s teen icon Tiffany celebrates 35 years of I Think We're Alone Now

Reviving the sounds of the '90s, Aussie sensations Confidence Man stop by to chat about their latest album 'Tilt', and we have two of pop's most exciting queer artists - Todrick Hall and Tom Aspaul - who celebrate their new LPs, the '80s-inspired 'Algorhythm' and Euro-pop belter 'Life In Plastic', respectively.

There's plenty more: Bruce Hornsby looks back on his iconic collaborations with Chaka Khan and Stevie Nicks, among others; we delve into classics from Saint Etienne and Sugababes; and Peter Wilson recalls his high school years with the Minogue sisters.

All that and more in the latest issue of Retro Pop!
